The University of Maryland School of Medicine's Family Medicine Interest Group (FMIG) provides a forum for students who are interested in family medicine. It allows students to have a glimpse into the life of a family physician, learn about the many facets of the field, and practice skills and procedures used commonly by family doctors. FMIG is sponsored by the Maryland Academy of Family Physicians and the Department of Family Medicine.
